The positions of the Orientalists on the Prophetic biography fall into two kinds: a positive one, showing admiration and esteem for the person of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, and doing him justice; and a negative one, far from the method of scholarly research.
Peer-reviewed research has studied these positions in university theses, journal articles and scholarly conferences, in different ways: some replied to the Orientalists in general, some took one of their books and answered it, and some studied and compared the views of several Orientalists. The author offers an extensive study of each of these approaches across the different studies.
