The way the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, guided his Companions towards virtue inspires the Muslim character and drives it to the noblest action, reshaping it anew; it becomes easy to restore its qualities through the values, guidance and etiquette he taught in word, deed and approval. In his person, peace be upon him, there is light, guidance and a living example — enough to wake the Muslim character from its long sleep, free it from its predicament and bring it to life again, reviving good conduct and hope, by the will of Allah.
Islamic belief is the axis of the Muslim character and the foundation of its formation; it played a prominent role in building civilisation and lit the way for humanity — the Western world included — thanks to the Noble Book, to which falsehood cannot come from before it or behind it: the Book that opened minds, illuminated hearts, removed ignorance and spread awareness, all before the age of printing and broadcasting.
